Vintage Seiko 5 Automatic Sports Watch, 1980 (Ref. 7009-8150)
Embark on a journey through the golden age of Japanese watchmaking with the Seiko 5 7009-8150 from 1980. Crafted with precision and a nod to enduring style, this vintage timepiece encapsulates the essence of Seiko's horological legacy.
Founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, Japan, Seiko has etched an illustrious history in the annals of horology. Beginning as a small watch and clock repair shop, Hattori's vision to create innovative timepieces propelled Seiko to become a global leader in the watchmaking industry.
Hailing from the renowned Seiko 5 series, the 7009-8150 model exemplifies the brand's commitment to affordable but classic timekeeping. The '5' represents the watch's five key attributes—automatic winding, day-date display, water resistance, recessed crown, and a durable case and bracelet. This is a fantastic watch for experienced or new collectors alike.
This model has a 'bumper' movement, which provides a notable feel of the watch's wind on the wrist. It also comes with the original Seiko bracelet and a spare aftermarket leather black strap.
